INK TESTING STATION
Come and try 300 different inks at our ink testing station for free.

THURSDAY, May 2, 2019
For Exhibitors and Weekend Registrants only

2 - 6 pm - Informal get together to buy, sell and trade. Non-table holders permitted to use open spaces until registered table holders arrive.
7 pm - Pizza Party. Pizza party sponsored by JUDDS PENS AND PIPES.COM featuring Lou Malnati's Pizza.
8:30 pm - Whisk(e)y Tasting Event. Come join us and taste some fine Scotches and Bourbons

FRIDAY, May 3, 2019

8 am - 5:30 pm - Exhibitors, Weekend and Friday-Sunday Registrants are all welcome to congregate, meet one another and buy, sell and trade pens. Doors lock at 5:30 p.m. with overnight security in place starting Friday night for entire space.

Noon to 5:30 p.m. - Open to public with $25 general admission fee for Friday afternoon, or buy Weekend or Friday-Sunday pass for earlier admission.

2 - 3 pm - TBA

3 - 4:30 pm - Letters and Textures with Azizah Asgarali and Salman Khattak (materials fee $50 USD / $75 CAD; enrollment limited to 12). Join Azizah, of Gourmet Pens, and Salman, of Toronto Pen Company, as they explore the variety of letters and textures you can produce with a Pilot Parallel and a Brass Folded Pen. Materials fee includes specially modified Parallel, paper and ink cartridges. Info and registration at Toronto Pen Company's site.

11 am - Sketching with Fountain Pens and Inks. Whether you're an artist wondering what fountain pens and inks can add to your work, or a fountain pen user interested in learning to sketch, join in as two members of Urban Sketchers Chicago demonstrate different ways to sketch with fountain pens and ink -- for beginners and experts alike.

Noon - 12:30 pm - Fountain Pen 101. A friendly introduction to fountain pens for newer users (including our Urban Sketchers). Learn some fountain pen basics, how to choose a fountain pen that's right for you, and how to keep it writing right. You'll even have the chance to try out some popular starter pens sold at the show.

8 pm till closing - "Pens Shows After Dark" in the RC Grille in the hotel lobby. Join us for a fun and informal meetup: buy your favorite beverage and/or snack from the bar, and then sit down to show off your pens and ink and other acquisitions, look at everyone else's, and get to know some fellow fountain pen users. Giveaways may be involved, and a good time will be had by all. Everyone is welcome.
